On the heels of our most popular Spring Series ever, we're here to add some fun to your summer run. The 10-week series will start on Tuesday, July 7th. Each week we will have a different challenge or theme, these are a fun way to still hand out weekly awards, but they are completely optional and not required for participation. All you need to do it plan your own 5K route, lace up those running shoes, complete the weekly 5K, submit your results, and you're well on your way to the special 2020 Summer edition of the Golden Mylie! 


Here's how it will work:

Sign up to register for the 2020 Virtual Summer Series. If you register after 7/9/2020 you will not be eligible for the Golden Mylie medal, but can still win weekly prizes!

Join the 'Good Times Series' Club on Strava to stay connected and cheer on other Good Times runners. 

Plan your route and run the 5K weekly on Tuesday or Wednesday of that week (Week 1 is July 7-8). Take part in our weekly challenges to add some fun to your run and you could win some awesome prizes!

Submit your weekly results before 11:59pm each Wednesday night online at >>  http://yankeetiming.com/goodtimes2020/

Weekly results and challenge award winners will be announced on Friday mornings. Results from all weekly 5K's will be available on the iResultsLive platform and weekly challenge award winners will be announced on the Good Times 5K Series Facebook page.

Is it different? Yes. Will it be just as fun? Absolutely... and a side benefit, if you used to run the Good Times Series, but moved away, it's time to run it again! Remember to share your photos throughout the series on social media by using #SummerGoodTimes20

We've come up with some new ideas and brought back some Spring Series favorites. These weekly challenges are simply to add a sense of competition as we will be awarding prizes to lucky runners.. You can pick and choose which challenges you'd like to do, as they are not required to earn your Golden Mylie.


All runs must be completed on Tuesday or Wednesday of race week and results submitted before 11:59PM on Wednesday night.

Week 1  //  July 7-8

Throwback Run

Bust out that old 80's attire, dust off that 90's race t-shirt and let's turn back the clock to kick off our summer series by reliving some of our favorites times!

Week 2  //  July 14-15

Super Hero 5K

Channel your inner Clark Kent and get all decked out in your favorite Superhero attire for this week's 5K. Just a reminder - not all heroes wear capes!

Week 3  //  July 21-22

What the Hill, Pt. 2

The hills are alive with the sound of running.. again! Once again, it's not about your time, but about your total elevation gained throughout 3.1 miles. *Garmin, Strava or another running tracker app screenshot required.

Prizes awarded to the top five (5) hill climbers with the most elevation gain over their 5K run.

Week 4  //  July 28-29

Say What?

Did you say a moose was running down Mont Vernon Street? This week's challenge is kind of a photo scavenger hunt; as we search for the most unique thing you saw on your run. Snap a pic and share it!

Week 5  //  August 4-5


A place where everybody knows your name. Get in your 5K and support your local brewery/winery (or non-alcoholic beverage) and show us how you celebrate post-run.​ We'll also be hosting a Zoom Happy Hour on Tues and Wed.

Week 6  //  August 11-12

Consistency is Key

Instead of negative splits, let's try to hold that initial speed through all 3.1 miles. This week's challenge is to have each mile split be within 10-seconds of each other.  **Garmin, Strava or another running tracker app screenshot required.

Prizes awarded to five (5) randomly selected runners with consistent split runs.

Week 7  //  August 18-19

Slippery When Wet

Grab your favorite pool float, throw on your bathing suit, run through the neighborhood sprinkler and get those miles in. This week's challenge is to combine a body of water and your 5K.

Week 8  //  August 25-26


We don't like to do normal, so grab an old pair of jeans - take a pair of scissors to them - and tackle your 5K in your brand new jorts!

Week 9  //  September 1-2

Trail Mix Run

Time to celebrate National Trail Mix Day (actually 8/31) and trade in some of those road miles for the trails again. Part-trail/part-road, all-trail, you decide how much you hit the trails this week.

Week 10  //  September 8-9

Wait & See... It's a Mystery!
