Fall Series

Times are different and we've never done this before, but here we go... the FIRST-EVER Good Times Fall Series! We're back with 10-weekly challenges, an expanded running window (Sun-Wed) and a BRAND-NEW Fall-inspired Mylie finishers medal for all those dedicated runners completing the entire 10-week series!

 

Best of all, it's still all virtual. So whether you're here in New England, Tennessee, California, or across the globe... sign up and join in on all the fun!

 

The Fun Continues through the Fall!

Plan Your Route  //  Lace 'Em Up  //  Run Your Race  //  Collect the Mylie

On the heels of our Spring and Summer Series' we're ready to keep you running all fall long. The 10-week series will start on Sunday, September 20th. Each week we will have a different challenge or theme, these are a fun way to still hand out weekly awards, but they are completely optional and not required for participation. All you need to do it plan your own 5K route, lace up those running shoes, complete the weekly 5K, submit your results, and you're well on your way to the first-event fall-inspired Golden Mylie, if you complete all 10 weeks! 

 

Here's how it will work:

Sign up to register for the 2020 Virtual Fall Series.  If you register after 9/24/2020 you will not be eligible for the Golden Mylie medal, but can still win weekly prizes!

Join the 'Good Times Series' Club on Strava to stay connected and cheer on other Good Times runners. 

**Expanded Running Time**  Plan your route and run the weekly 5K anyday Sunday through Wednesday of that week (Week 1 is September 20-23)

Submit your weekly results before 11:59pm each Wednesday night online at >>  http://yankeetiming.com/goodtimes2020/

Weekly results and challenge award winners will be announced on Friday mornings. Results from all weekly 5K's will be available on the iResultsLive platform and weekly challenge award winners will be announced on the Good Times 5K Series Facebook page.

Is it different? Yes. Will it be just as fun? Absolutely... and a side benefit, if you used to run the Good Times Series, but moved away, it's time to run it again! Remember to share your photos throughout the series on social media by using #FallGoodTimes20

THE WEEKLY CHALLENGES

We've come up with some fresh fall ideas and brought back some favorites from the spring and summer series. These weekly challenges are simply to add a sense of competition as we will be awarding prizes to lucky runners.. You can pick and choose which challenges you'd like to do, as they are not required to earn your Golden Mylie.

 

All runs must be completed between Sunday and Wednesday of race week and results submitted before 11:59PM on Wednesday night.

Week 1  //  Sept. 20-23

Autumnal Equinox - Welcome to Fall!

Let's use this week to get back into the swing of things and set a baseline 5K pace for the Series. We're celebrating the fall and the comfortable running weather - so lace 'em up and get it done.

Prizes awarded to five (5) randomly selected finishers.

Week 2  //  Sept. 27-30

Hills, Hills, All the Hills!

Awww hill yeah! Everybody's favorite challenge is back for a third time this year. It's not about time this week, but how much elevation you can get over 3.1 miles. *Garmin, Strava or another running tracker app screenshot required.

Prizes awarded to five (5) randomly selected climbers who achieve more than 400' of elevation gain.

Week 3  //  October 4-7

Pumpkin Spice It Up 5K

This one's up to you - have some fun with it. Either pick up your favorite fancy pumpkin latte or pick the biggest pumpkin from the patch and run your 5K with it!

Week 4  //  October 11-14

Foliage in the Forest Trail Run

We're mixing a few of our favorite New England things, the trails and the fall foliage. Get out on the trails for your 5K this week and grab some creative pictures of those changing leaves.

Week 5  //  October 18-21

Negative Splits

We took it out for the Summer, but this Spring-favorite is back. Each mile on your 5K must be faster than the previous. Don't worry about that pesky 0.1 at the end.  *Garmin, Strava or another running tracker app screenshot required.

Week 6  //  October 25-28

Boo! Costume Contest

Halloween time! Get those costumes out, set up a haunted house to run through, just have some fun with this week's 5K and get in the Halloween spirit!

Week 7  //  November 1-4

1-Mile Challenge

This week kick's off on 11/1, so we're keeping the "1" theme going and changing it up this week. No 5K distance, but how fast can you push for 1-mile? All out, what do ya got Good Timers? ​

Week 9  //  November 15-18

Glow It Up!

Let's strap on those headlamps and glow vests and light up the night for this week's 5K. In honor of National Safety Month, let's get bright and get the 5K in. Don't feel safe running at night? Then put on some neon glows and brighten up the day!

Week 8  //  November 8-11

Push for a PR

We've been running for seven weeks, now can you beat your best time that you've put in for the Fall Series so far? Your goal time is your fastest 5K this fall series, not spring/summer.

Week 10  //  November 22-25

Celebration Time!

All about celebrating your completion of our first-ever Fall Series! Get your 5K done and show us how you celebrate post-race. We're working on some great local breweries to get on board to give out some great prizes!
